As I paint the portrait of life, the word yoga is formatted in so many ways.
· The asana is my expression of love
· Fluidity of the body with breath is my expression of the divine
· To unite the breath with awareness is my expression of connecting with the true self.
As I combine this art and science with my love and passion in the Holistic Health Coaching field, I unite the universal energy to create peace and harmony in life as we know it.
As a yoga Teacher, the energy and love is shared in a way that will have you gasping for more. I never teach something I am unable to do myself, caution and guidance is always given, and my words become your light to express the true self. We work together on the mats as one.
Kirsty Reynolds - Principle Teacher
Growing up in a family where grief, depression & the aftermath of post suicide shame was prevalent ~ the love and connection I established with friends and the community was paramount.
For me Yoga is connection. Connection to the physical body. Connection to mind and soul and connection to others. Connection to the expansive nature of existence.
For as long as I can remember I was interested in meditation and developing a deeper appreciation of life and death. My mother influenced my understanding of life greatly. As a suicide attempt survivor herself, we had many conversations and experiences together about the deeper aspects of existence as I was growing up. She finally completed her suicide in 2009 which gave me the impetus to shift my career and focus on learning how to work with others to create a space of expansive growth and healing. I did a Masters in Social Work and expanded my studies further into hypnotherapy, grief and trauma counselling, palliative care and Yoga. I firmly believe that so often in the darkness of great tragedy and trauma the beautiful light of awareness can be found.
I had practiced Yoga- the physical Asana (postures)- on and off since I was a teenager in Bikram Yoga and then whilst living in Korea for 9 years. While working as a Trauma informed Social Worker one of my friends recommended I go to Yoga Garage with Karen in the Adelaide Hills and this started the real journey for me. Previously the physical journey for me had always been about controlling and pushing my body rather than being in deep connection with my physical form and allowing this form to be the graceful vehicle of my existence. I started to notice that through Yoga everything was shifting. I had spent so many years studying how to heal the mind and how to heal myself through counselling techniques, mindfulness, hypnotherapy and so on yet it has been through Yoga that the real journey to self-knowing has occurred.
Karen suggested I do Yoga Teacher training with our teachers Sadhana and Keval from Shantarasa Yoga school and I continue to align myself with their beautiful tradition now. I enjoy bringing a blend of approaches from the traditional Hatha to Vinyasa, Yin and Fascia Yoga into the studio. In all my classes people have the option of leaving at the end of the physical practice or staying for a deep meditation and Yoga Nidra at the end.
Yoga has quite seriously informed and saved my life. Instead of merely living, I am thriving. I quite passionately wish to share the beauty and light that a regular yoga practice within a supportive yoga community can bring.
I wish to create a space and system where Yoga is accessible to everyone whether their impetus be to tone the body or their impetus be to find some stillness and calm in the hectic world our society promotes. As well as teaching public classes I aim to create a space where classes are trauma/ grief informed so regardless of a person’s background and history they will be welcomed and feel comfortable to practice Yoga.
I look forward to practicing Yoga in class with you soon or perhaps seeing you for a private block of Yoga informed Counselling Hypnotherapy sessions.

Srey's Yoga Journey
Srey's Yoga JourneyThe discipline of Yoga has brought RICHNESS, COURAGE, FLOW, GRACE and SOFTNESS into my life.
Growing up I was deeply inspired by my father and grandfather, both of whom served as Buddhist monks. Their inner poise, resilience and humility motivated me to explore various mind and body training disciplines including Marital Arts. My passion to serve led me towards a Degree in Social Work. In addition to Yoga I also teach Meditation and Pilates both in Mat and Studio repertoire.
The immeasurable quality of peace, calm and harmony I experience from the practice of yoga has inspired me to share this art with others including children, family, seniors, schools, corporate, special needs group and individual therapy. To further contribute to the kind of changes we wish to see in the community a few teachers and I created Breathe in Peace Community, a not for profit Meditation, Mindfulness and Movement initiative. Sharing conscious movement and meditations tools to provide calm, clarity and peace in the community.
More details: Breathe in Peace
As a teacher while my approach and delivery is simple in nature, I endeavour to bring precision and depth to all of my sharing. It is an honour to be with every single students as they safely explore the nature of their own body, mind, breath, hearts and ultimately life.
I look forward to continuing my Yoga journey with you... Namaste Srey
Shanti’s relationship with Yoga started before birth! As the daughter of Yoga Teachers, the home was always imbued with the practice of asana, meditation and chanting. It has been a long journey to discover her own connection with Yoga and what it truly means for her. After travelling with her parents to India and undertaking their Shantarasa Teacher Training program, the dedication to a life of Yoga really began. From this point in time, Shanti travelled and studied with her parents and helped facilitate Teacher Training programs in Australia, India and the USA. Periods of time in ashrams in the India and the USA, led to her committing to living in the New York ashram offering service for the past four and half years. This time has instilled the discipline of practice in all aspects, the richness of simplicity and the absolute love of the great depths of human experience. Asana has become so many things in this modern world, but Shanti values and wants to offer the very heart of its purpose. Along with freeing the body of pain, tension and bound tendencies, asana can take us to a deeper and more connected experience of who we really are. It is a never ending road of discovery and wonder. It is Shanti’s hope to offer to others the opportunity to find moments of complete stillness. In this movement, we follow the breath, we let go of the idea of being something, and enter a space in our very own self of perfection, contentment and peace.
My name is Vani, as a child of Hindu Bhrahmin (scholars) family I was introduced to Yoga at very early age, however my true Yoga journey started in 2003 when I was 18.I lost my parents that year and my tender mind went too restless to know the deeper meaning of life and its different aspects. This leaded me to take shelter of Yoga to satisfy my soul and look forward in life. After experiencing the benefits of Yoga, I decided to dedicate myself completely to it and share same benefits with others.
I started my formal training to become a Yoga teacher in 2005. I completed my post graduated in Masters of Sciences in Yoga Therapy from India, I have also done Bachelor of Sciences in Nutrition and Clinical Dietetics. To fulfill my quest for Yoga, I continued my journey in the company of many mystics and Gurus of Himalayas (initiated in Himalyan Yoga Tradition by Swami Rama). I especially like sharing philosophy of Yoga and Meditation.
I am inspired from the life changing results of the Yoga practices and my vision is to spread it in its true meaning so that people can achieve their complete well –being (physically, mentally and spiritually). Apart from Yoga, I love Indian classical dancing, food and travelling.
