Weigh In Weight - End of Week 5
Well here we go again, another week done, and it is time to weigh in. I had another minor blip on the scales today as I weighed in at 90.5 today, a 400g gain.
End of Week 6 - Yay another weight loss 900 Grams, so close to that kilo
THE WEEK THAT WAS – Week 6
Leisa & I enjoyed another bike ride and exercise day today. We rode off in the morning and did a whole bunch of yoga videos as we went along. Perfect weather for it and I always cherish the time spent with Leisa. We have so much fun.
Not a whole lot to report today, feeling a bit stiff and sore from yesterday and have been teaching all day, so I will have a day off exercise today. My food has been pretty good too so nothing else really to report
Tuesday – 16th October
Again a pretty non-eventful day. Been teaching today and on my feet all day so pretty buggered. My food was OK. We went to Soul origin for lunch which is a salad place where you get to pick up to 4 salads in your meal. The ones I chose were a little carby, in the sense they had chick peas, quinoa, barley and a few other yummies, but I did indeed make the better choices as there were a number of delicious salads with pasta that I chose to stay away from. So I guess I did stick to my better choices.
It is Tuesday night and tennis has started back up again. I always get excited because I play with a great bunch of people and I get some exercise which is a bonus. Plus for an added little extra, we actually won overall (only by 2 games, but a win is a win) and that is no mean feat as we are usually down the bottom of the ladder playing for the mugs (wooden spoon equivalent). Maybe this season we can fight our way to the top and play for the glassware ?. Focus on what you want right?......... let us see if this will work. I did indulge, like I do every Tuesday in a couple of drinks. One vodka, lime and soda before the game with my team, and one red wine after the game. Not too bad I guess. I kind of expect I will have a drink on Tuesday’s so I am not worried.
Wednesday – 17th October
Today I am teaching again, but this time down at the academy. It is a lot of standing on your feet all day, so again I was pretty buggered. So no exercise for me today…..again ☹ there weren’t a whole lot of options for lunch (I didn’t bring any from home) so we went around the corner to the chicken shop. Now before you shake your head at me, I made the better choices by getting a ¼ chicken pack with salad and NO chips ? see not so bad right? Ok so I may have stolen a couple chips off my colleague (they were delicious) but a stolen chip doesn’t count right? ?
I have a lot of work to do when I get home in getting a presentation together on how to be mentally healthy. It is so important to educate people on these things, so I am looking forward to presenting this tomorrow night. Don’t worry, we will be rolling this out to everyone, so keep an eye out on our events page, as Intrinsic Mind will be doing a “how to stay mentally healthy” workshop that would be so useful to attend, especially those who have or are looking at attending the Mental Health First Aid course put on by me. But really it is for everyone ?
Day off today after working 10 days straight, I need it that’s for sure. However, it was a pretty non-existent day again in the way of exercise as I was frantically trying to re-work my presentation before I deliver it tonight at 7pm. I guess it is me being a perfectionist and wanting things to look great before rolling it out. I got up nice and early to get started and I got it finished only an hour before I had to leave. Wowzers. Nothing like cutting it fine ?. The presentation I think went pretty well. By gauging the participants, I can see where I could tweak a few things to make it even better. But overall, it was a successful presentation. I can’t wait to roll it out to everyone.
Friday – 19th October
So now that the presentation is done and dusted, and I spent my first day off preparing for it. Today I am going to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I have been so super busy that I just need a breather, and today is a perfect day for it. I didn’t even get out of my pyjamas, it was perfect ?. So, no exercise today and food wasn’t too bad either. Leisa doesn’t teach Friday nights and she is just as exhausted (understandable as she works so hard), so we had a movie night and a little cheese platter with some vodka to relax and unwind after a busy week. Yep again I am drinking and eating probably not the best food, but it isn’t terrible either, so I won’t feel bad for doing so.
Saturday – 20th October
Well today is the day Leisa and I jump out of a perfectly good plane…….We are going skydiving and are so super excited. I am not even nervous one bit which is brilliant ? This was an awesome gift given to us by Leisa’s daughter Kloe as she won them at an auction. Kloe and her partner will be doing it another time, but they came down to watch us jump. It was down at Langhorne Creek, Wellington area and was an awesome drive down there. The people were so friendly, and as we were a little early, I got caught chatting to a couple who had just finished their skydive. They told us how amazing it was which just made us even more excited.
So, we watch the instructional video and I think Kloe is now put off, ha ha ha. And we get fitted into our harnesses and go through our pre-jump training before heading to the plane.
After returning home we had a quick look at our photos and videos before heading back out to meet up with an awesome bunch of friends to watch a movie, The Greatest Showman, in Whitmore Square as a free community event. There was a great band beforehand and some yummy food, what a great night it was.
As a bit of an extra & sidenote, we were a bit overdue to do the body progress images from week 1 to now (week 6) so I have included the images to this blog. Now this is definitely the part of the journey that makes me feel really uncomfortable as I post pics of me in my underwear. So, I hope as we go along, and the weight keeps coming off, I will feel a bit better about myself. But here you go in all my glory.
This week has definitely been one of little exercise and some not so great food choices, however it was balanced out by making better choices on most days. It is hard sometimes when you do go out to be sociable and sometimes relying only on what is available at the venue, but all in all I am pretty happy with the results. I hate having to do the body progress photos, but hopefully you can see some changes and that it can inspire you on your journey. We will do body progress photos every 6 – 8 weeks or so to keep you updated. Hopefully next time you will see quite a vast improvement.
Thanks for joining me on my journey this week, stay tuned for next week’s instalment of ‘the week that was’
