Well today is the day everybody. Yep it is time to see how my goal setting worked with reaching 86 kg which was a loss of 2.8kg in a week. You guessed it everyone, I NAILED IT!!!!! Yep here is the proof on how goal setting can really achieve success in whatever it is you want to set your mind to. 85.9 kg this week everyone. I threw in an extra 100 g just to make sure. This is a total loss of 2.9 kg this week, how awesome is that 😊 very chuffed with these results indeed. It is great to finally have a loss after my stalemate of 88.8kg for 3 weeks in a row.
Monday – 17th December
Not a lot happening today either. Just a regular day at work, however we did make the office look a little brighter for Christmas and made use of some boxes creating an eye sore in the office 😊 gotta get into the festive spirit and why not do it the Fingerprint Bureau way 😊 we had a bit of fun putting this together and a few laughs along the way 😊. How does everyone else’s workplace decorate their space? Does everyone get into the Christmas spirit, one way or another?
Well today was grand final day at tennis, my team, the Fuzzy Ball Whackers, were once again playing for the mugs as we finished equal bottom for the season. We all had a load of fun and we actually won altogether for the night which means we miss out on the mugs ☹ I got my step count up tonight too which is always great, but I must admit, that is all that went great, as I feel today is the beginning of poor choices due to the time of the year it is. Pizza was had, including beer and wine to celebrate the grand final as well as the Christmas season. I know I had a brilliant loss this week on the scales, but I feel that was to prepare me for what I will put on in the next couple weeks. That is not such a bad thing I guess, but I sure hope I don’t undo all my hard work.
Nothing to report today, same ol same ol. I had work today, I bought my lunch, which was a rice bowl (which wasn’t the best choice) but yummy all the same. Nil exercise had either so not really contributing to my better choices this week.
Thursday – 20th December
Another day with little to report, food choices again weren’t the best so only really contributing to my potential downfall this week on the scales. Nil exercise today either, however, Leisa and I were scurrying around the house getting it prepared for Leisas family coming to visit tomorrow. It should be fun, but really hitting home now how much of a busy time it is from now until the end of the year. Wowzers, has this year gone quick, don’t you agree?
Friday – 21st December
So, Leisas parents, sister and nephew are coming to visit today and staying with us for a week. It will be great to see them all. Leisa’s parents and nephew are from NSW on the central coast and her sister is from Melbourne. A few last-minute things to do around the house before they come, and we are all set. Nothing much else to report, food was average, carbs have been definitely a major part of my diet of late…… and of course the alcohol. So I guess another bad day with food and drink and nil exercise.
Saturday – 22nd December
Well today is a super fun jam packed day. I started the day doing the most fun thing ever, and that was joining my friends on our annual Santa Scooter Run 😊. It is a bunch of mates who own scooters, driving around Adelaide dressed as Santa, blasting the Christmas tunes, taking some fun photos and handing out candy canes to people as we pass them. It is soooooooo much fun. I wonder if any of you saw us today? We started on Rundle street, weaved around the city before heading through North Adelaide, Brompton, up to Walkley Heights, Norwood, then back into the city again at Jekyll and Hyde Café on Union Street in the city. What a fantastic morning and what an amazing Café with amazing food. If you haven’t been to Jekyll and Hyde Café yet, you really must check it out. The portion sizes are HUGE but so delicious. Well worth the visit.
Well this week was a HUGE success on the scales. I was able to reach my goal that I set of 86kg, with 100g extra to spare 😊 however, I feel this loss was to allow me to slip over the next couple of weeks with the upcoming events, festivities, gatherings and the like and not make the best choices that I have been making in the past. There will be feasts, alcohol, sweets and little exercise, so I am glad that the loss this week was great. I hope I don’t undo all my hard work too much. I will try to make better choices where I can to help counteract the times when I don’t.
I hope you all had success with your goal setting this week also. It is a busy time about to start. Christmas can be a time of joy and time to share with your family and friends but remember that this is not always the case for everyone, in fact this time of year can be very hard for many people. Please take a moment to think about those who are doing it tough this time of year and reach out where you can. Let’s all be safe during this Christmas period, and do the best to enjoy the last part of the year. Merry Christmas to each and every one of you and thanks for joining me on this week’s journey, I hope you have had a great week and be sure to tune in for next week’s instalment of the week that was.
