Tips for the I-Don’t-Know-What-I-Want Vision Board
Hello again!
You know it’s important to have a vision board to help you clarify and reach your goals. This is great when you know what you want to achieve. However, what happens when you don’t know exactly what you want, but know you need a change?
Creating a vision board to open and allow you to see what you want can be a powerful guide for you. It helps you get in alignment with what you want by going deeper into learning about yourself and your passion.
You can still create a vision board if:
Create this vision board by going through magazines or looking at images online for items that bring you joy or inspire you in some way. Don’t ask why or try to examine the feelings. If you see a picture of a strawberry that makes you smile, tear it out to use. If a picture of a million-dollar beach house on the coast of Bali make, save it. Just have fun finding ones that call to you. Don’t try to understand why the image is calling to you.
Go back through each image and ask yourself what it might mean. What is it telling you about you? Does that image of a big juicy strawberry mean you are hungry for fruit, or that you want to begin eating healthier foods? You’ll know what it means when you look further. If not, put it on your vision board anyway. The answer will come to you eventually.
Even if you don’t know what you want, create the board around what feels good to. Once you have all the images arranged, you’ll likely see a pattern of your desires.
Why You Should Have a Vision Board Party
We’ve been talking about creating your vision board to reach your goals. Creating your vision board can be fun and rewarding, but it can seem like a lot of work. Instead, have a vision board party. It can be fun creating your board when you do it as a group.
What is a vision board party?
A vision board party is an event where you create visualizations for your goals. Friends, family, or co-workers get together with their magazines, poster board, and other supplies for an hour or two searching for the images that embody their desired future.
Then, everyone creates their own board, which is meant to inspire them throughout the year.
Why should you have a vision board party?
Not only does a vision board give you the time and accountability of creating your board, it’s a great way to have social fun with others. Many vision board parties include food and drinks as well.
These are just few of the reasons why hosting or attending a vision board party is the nudge you need to plan your visual future.
Until next time.

You can still create a vision board if:
- You’re not sure what exactly you want, but you know you want to make a change
- You have a vision of what you want, but not completely sure about in some way (maybe you can’t see how it is possible)
- You’ve been in a period of depression or you’ve been grieving something
Create this vision board by going through magazines or looking at images online for items that bring you joy or inspire you in some way. Don’t ask why or try to examine the feelings.
