Sunday – 25th November
My gosh the weeks are going fast, it is time for weigh in again. I am sorry to once again disappoint but I again haven’t been great this week. However, the scales seem to have actually been kind to me with 400g lost this week yet absolutely nothing lost with my measurements, which is understandable

It was a fun day today, we went to a wonderful café on Whitmore Square, aptly named the Café outside the Square, where we were joined by a number of friends to witness our mate getting his long locks cut for charity as part of Movember. Some good money was raised, over $1000 I believe, which is fantastic. It was a great day and couldn’t ask for any better weather, it was perfect.

There was also a great little band there that I was able to join for a bit of a jam on my saxophone with one of the guitarists. I was super nervous as I haven’t played in front of people as in a ‘gig’ in over a decade. It was very brief at the end of the day, but it was fun all the same.

This café does such wonderful things for the community and offers free meals for the underprivileged and residents of the men’s shelter just down the road. If you purchase meals from the not for profit café, which are provided by the Salvation Army, they are able to provide 2 meals to those in need. How wonderful. Feel free to check out this place and help support the local community.

Monday – 26th November
Well today I had a university exam and felt a bit nervous because I wasn’t as prepared as other study periods. I just didn’t have my uni brain on as much this time around as I had so much on my plate, including STRESS!!! However, I didn’t feel I did too bad. Not the greatest but did alright. It’s done and now comes the wait for about 5 weeks until results are released. I am pretty excited though because it means that I only have 1 more study period left before I finish my Bachelor of criminology & Criminal Justice. HOW EXCITING!!! I just have 3 months left, I will be finished late February 😊

Off to work after the exam unfortunately, which was a good shift all up. Food was OK and nil exercise, so not really contributing greatly to my Better Choice Journey ☹

Tuesday – 27th November
Good ol’ quick change with shifts today, off of an afternoon shift, starting at 7am, sigh. All good though, can’t complain too much it was a good shift. Leisa is off today to Canberra to commence her final training of Thai Yoga Massage Teachers Training which is absolutely fantastic. Watch this space at our studio for upcoming Training and certification in Thai Yoga Massage, how exciting 😊. She is off for nearly 2 weeks, so will miss her ☹

Food today was probably not the best choice as I brought to work the left-over wraps from Saturdays Intrinsic Mind Christmas party. Needless to say I started to not feel the best after lunch and felt worse as the rest of the day went on ☹ I had to cancel playing tennis as I felt real crook which sucked as it is my weekly dose of exercise, fun and laughter ☹

Wednesday – 28th November
As you probably guessed, I had a sick day today, was up and down most of the night to head to the bathroom ☹ so not much to report unfortunately.

Thursday – 29th November
Well day 2 of being unwell and another sick day needed ☹ still feeling crook in the belly, silly wraps, so again nothing much to report on the food and exercise front, just plenty of rest and water.

Friday – 30th November
Well back to work today and feeling a lot better, I hate feeling sick. Still a bit flat but OK. Work was pretty good, got a few things done and out of the way which is even better, all ready for a better week next week. I am missing Leisa, I hate being away from her but so pleased that her training is going great.
Nothing much else to report today, food was ok and exercise was nil.

Saturday – 1st December
Today was a fun day as it was my great friend’s 50th birthday + house warming party. I absolutely loved catching up with everyone, some I haven’t seen in many years so it was really a great time. I have such wonderful friends, as I get busier I unfortunately don’t get to see them as much as I like, but when I do (no matter how long it has been) we pick up where we left off as if it was only yesterday. Love you guys, you’re the best.

Along with catching up with friends, such parties include alcohol (and lots of it) so I guess you could say that Better Choices were not had today, and crawling into bed at 4am will not fare well with me tomorrow. It will take days for me to recover. But I don’t mind, I needed this night with great mates.

In Conclusion
So this week was a bit of everything, musical, stressful (exams), sickness, parties, fundraising, socializing, and just feeling the love of some great long life mates. Granted the food wasn’t brilliant, and there was a lot of excess in the drinking department, plus exercise was non-existent, but it was definitely a week full of everything.

Now I know that I have been flailing around this weight for a while and you could say failing with making Better Choices of food and exercises, SO, I am going to set some goals to get myself back on track. Stay tuned because with next week’s instalment of the Week that was, I will also upload a video discussing Goal Setting and why it is so fantastic. I am looking forward to sharing this with you as we will also be putting on a Goal Setting workshop early next year for everyone who wants to seriously kick start their successes in whatever it may be, and you will be surprised how amazing this works. So stay tuned, I’m excited 😊

Thanks for joining me on this weeks journey, I hope you have had a great week and be sure to tune in for next weeks instalment of the week that was.
