Unheated Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is the root of physical yoga practice and most modern-day styles. Hatha yoga is not an exercise but rather the practice of physical postures, or asanas, which drive physical energy. Hatha can be translated in two ways. One as "willful" or "forceful," the second as "sun" and "moon." In these translations, we see the representation of the yoga of activity and the yoga of balance.  In the physical realm, Hatha yoga uses conscious movement to balance strength and flexibility. Emotionally, this practice calms your nervous system and cleanses your mind of stress and tension, to leave you with a feeling of well-being. 

Enhance the way you think, feel, and experience life by learning to be more present in each unfolding moment. Each posture will elevate your level of consciousness while increasing your strength and flexibility. Moving Meditation Yoga with Jess

For everyone from beginner to advanced moving through more of a meditative practice to explore, the true inner self. This class is relaxed, gentle and playful guiding you to find your own rhythm and flow so that you can move in a way that feels good.

Sound Therapy Yoga with Althea

This practice is deeply nurturing, touching upon the connection of sound in and outside of you.  Our studio holds an amazing vibrancy of energy, and to take the time to enjoy it's vibrancy is very healing.  
 
As we move, we enjoy the sounds of the Tibetan bowls and chimes to calm our minds and bodies, moving into a deep relaxation to cleanse the soul and invigorate the senses to bring about focus and clarity. This is a special class full of love and passion.
 
In winter the studio will be beautifully warmed as needed, & in summer it will be cool when needed.

Hatha Flow Yoga with Zab

This is a beautiful traditional Hatha class exploring the asana, giving space and time to find the release. You will be given modifications to take your practice deeper or to ease and explore each posture. This class will help to bring back a sense of balance in mind and body, restoring vitality and shedding unwanted trapped stress in the body.

Zab has this amazing presence that just has you melting on the mat. Bringing her knowledge of Vinyasa flow, combined with moments of stillness and finishing with a blissful guided meditation.

​Yin Restorative Yoga with Zab

This class is a very meditative, relaxing class which incorporates Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and breath work (pranayama) to balance and calm your body and mind as well as reduce stress and anxiety and improve sleep. ​We move slowly and focus on maybe 10 different poses for the entire 75 minute class, enabling you to turn inward, and focus on the breath and calm your mind and nervous system.

Yin yoga works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses. Yin yoga targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues - ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body - rather than the muscles (which are the physical focus of Yang yoga practices). Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. To be healthy, we need healthy organs as well as healthy muscles. Yin yoga also offers wonderful emotional and mental health benefits.
Benefits of a regular Yin yoga practice
  • Increases circulation and improves flexibility

We finish the class with Restorative poses using bolsters, blocks and blankets to support the body in seated forward folds, gentle twists and back bends, allowing you to completely relax and restore. The class ends with a blissful Yoga Nidra (guided meditation) which will leave you feeling amazing.

Soul Flow with Zab

This is a balanced, soulful, welcoming class. We’ll practice together in a supportive environment - wonderful for beginners and anyone seeking a great class! We’ll build strength, flexibility and community as we move through yoga sequences and mindful breathing. You will have a sense of nurturing, ease-fullness and healing and also experience a great overall body workout.

This class is flowing, calming and therapeutic in nature, and beneficial for stress relief and overall well-being. Deep stretching and a little more advanced postures offered for more advanced yogis. We'll finish with a blissful meditation to leave you feeling amazing!

Yogi's Choice with Vani

This is an opportunity for the students to advise the teacher on what they would prefer to focus on in the class. For example, if you want to work more on lower back and legs, the instructor will adapt the class to encompass the areas of focus.

This is a traditional Hatha yoga class where you can bring depth and clarity to your practice which focus on form and structure. You’ll move at a moderate pace, using your breath as a guide and pause along the way to explore the finer alignment details and personalized modifications of each pose to guide you into feeling more balanced, integrated and at ease.

In winter the room is warmed for comfort & in summer it is cooled for comfort.

Warm Yoga Flow with Zab

Warm Yoga Flow is a beautiful flowing, rhythmic class, synchronising each movement with conscious breath, to enhance the flow of prana throughout the body. This class is designed to challenge you but at the same time, allow you space to explore and open up at your own level. For those that like it strong, the option is there, for those that would prefer a little laid back, you can stay with the first options offered.
 
There is a vinyasa component to this class, finding the connection to breath. As you move deeper into you practice, you will enjoy a wonderful meditation to soothe the body and soul.  Giving you time to really allow the body and mind to connect as one. Zab will offer assistance and guidance where needed.
 
For those pregnant yogis that have an already steady practice this class is okay for you. For those new to Yoga and Pregnant, you may want to try one of our unheated classes first. The room is warmed to 32 degrees using Far Infrared Technology providing deep tissue penetration, helping you to move deeper into the postures, as well as helping to detoxify the body. The heat will also elevate your heart rate, increasing the intensity of your workout.

Warm Vinyasa Ignite Yoga with Leisa

Yoga to tone and burn. This class is for all levels, with modifications given. Those looking to tone and stretch with a combination of Strength, Vinyasa, HIIT and Pilates will love this class, which also incorporates bands, ball and hoop work.

This 75 minute class is an uplifting journey into the magic of yoga, transforming your mind and body in a way that leaves you feeling amazing. You’ll move with your breath and the beats, you’ll sweat and you’ll go deep in an inspiring practice which nourishes the soul and invigorates the body, building flexibility, strength, and ultimately, inner stillness. The room is warmed to 32 degrees using Far Infrared Technology which provides deep tissue penetration, helping you to move deeper into the postures as well as helping to detoxify the body. Also, the heat elevates the heart rate, increasing the intensity of the workout.

Vinyasa Yoga incorporates more advanced asana that demands attention to strength and breath. Vinyasa Yoga is a subset of hatha yoga which is distinguished by its fluid transitions and movement through a series of carefully planned poses. The word vinyasa comes from the Sanskrit term nyasa, meaning ‘to place’ and the prefix vi, meaning ‘in a special way’. In vinyasa yoga, the body moves in sync with the breath, creating fluid and smooth movements, known as “flow”.  Vinyasa is also the term used to describe a specific sequence of poses (Chaturanga to Upward-Facing Dog to Downward-Facing Dog) commonly used throughout a vinyasa class. 

This practice encourages balance of the entire body, building core strength and toning whilst increasing the heart rate. We finish in balancing postures and a beautiful relaxation to reignite the balance and calming of the central nervous system.

Warm Soul Flow Yoga with Leisa

In this class we'll move slowly with connection into breath, taking each posture through flow and static asana, exploring sensations & opening and stretching with breath awareness to find depth. The room is warmed to 32 degrees using Far Infrared Technology providing deep tissue penetration, helping you to move deeper into the postures as well as helping to detoxify the body. 

It is often said that this class has helped with stress release, calming the central nervous system, bringing about enough heat to feel the skin renew and replenish, cleansing and toning at the same time. The benefits of this gentle practice is calmness of mind and connection with breath and movement. Because of the concentration on breathing, your lungs will get stronger. The focus on the breath and the subtle connection of the practice will result in a more mindful, peaceful attitude off the mat.  

This meditative slow practice is very nurturing with the gentle touch and assistance of the teachers bringing an extra component of support and love to the practice. Assistance is not presumed, we always check in and ask first.
 
This is a must try class - very popular for those that are in high stressful jobs, very busy and needing time out.

Hot Fascia Flow Yoga with Leisa

This class is for people who practice yoga on a regular basis, moving through more of a stronger based class.
This practice will take you on a wonderful journey of stretch and flow, based a little more around fascia release.

​Hot Yoga

This Hot Yoga class is a well rounded combination of flow and static postures. You will be working your entire body throughout the duration of the class, improving your strength, from head to toe, moving to increase not only strength but also flexibility. The room is heated between 38 to 40 degrees using Far Infrared Technology which provides deep tissue penetration, helping you to move deeper into the postures as well as helping to detoxify the body. Also, the heat elevates the heart rate, increasing the intensity of the workout.
 
Our challenging classes allow you to focus on what you are doing rather than the daily stresses of life. We bring focus to the 'here and now' as you learn to meditate with us, bringing about a sense of letting go.  Opening up to decrease life stresses.

People often ask, can I lose weight in this class. Yes, you certainly can!.  A lot of people will notice a significant difference in their overall body shape as well as their mentality.  Your coping mechanisms will change, overcoming anxiety and fears.
 
The Hot classes will help you detox not only in body, but also your mind.  We recommend if you have never done yoga before, especially hot yoga, to try the unheated or warm gentle classes first.

​Hot FIT Pilates

Hot FIT Pilates is for those that Like It Hot and like to keep fit and active!! This challenging full body, low impact, fat burning, high intensity workout is performed on a yoga mat & towel in a room heated to 37 degrees. The room is heated using Far Infrared Technology providing deep tissue penetration and elevating the heart rate, increasing the intensity of your workout.

Hot FIT Pilates incorporates the Fundamentals of Pilates (Breath & Powerhouse connection), H.I.I.T. (High Intensity Interval Training), Resistance Training (with Thera Bands & Pilates Rings), Weight Training (for strength & tone), and Pilates Balls (for balance & strength).

This low-impact class will strengthen your whole body safely, and keep your heart rate up
, while helping you burn fat and boosting your metabolism! With fun and motivational music, 60 minutes will fly by! Within a few classes you will see the benefits, such as; weight loss, a stronger core, increased strength, and less stress.

I have heard from a few of you “Is this for me?” The low-impact design of the class makes it safe for all fitness levels. It is for EVERYONE who is looking to increase strength, build long lean muscles, create a stronger core, get fit and feel amazing! If you have never done a hot class before come to a gentle warm yoga class first.
